Filafabric is a tool being developed at the lab for designing and printing 3D textiles. It allows designers to bring in drawings, explore fabric structures, adjust their properties and export G-code for a printer.

Developed through research at LSAD and 3DP-STeF, the tool explores a practical question: how can digital fabrication become more accessible and useful for fashion and textile designers, students and educators? A public introduction was shared with the Fabricademy community in October 2026. The tool remains in development; a public release is planned.
